Ladies and gentlemen, we simply can’t accept this is the end.
We can all agree, KSP2 is a great game. Sure it has bugs, but when you get that perfect unglitched mission, the self satisfaction of single handedly launching and completing an epic cosmic journey… the self satisfaction you get is monumental!
Face it, all we need is a few patches to eradicate these glitches, as far as I’ve seen, most are visual anyway. Between things like orbit paths not showing up or encounters not showing up (these are the problems I’m dealing with in my latest science playthrough), these are really only a quick fix and they’re done for.
Yeah it has a lot of problems, but many of these problems are small, and when merged together they seem larger than they really are. By patching these bugs the game can become so much better, and players can come back to enjoy the game!
There’s a potential for KSP to be revived in the near future. While the game may be cut off right now, there’s still prototype code for colonies. It may not be guaranteed that the code will be implemented into an update, but if it is, KSP has a fighting chance for recovery, but only if the developers and the community work together.
The steam rates show that during each major update, a massive burst of players show up, while it has declined for a while now, it will still have a relatively large burst if the colonies drop. It’s up to us and the devs to help promote the game and bring it back to its once fruitful and fun nature.
After this, we need to maintain popularity if we ever want to see the stars up close. The interstellar travel update is right after colonies, I know that if we can achieve that, if we can unlock new planets to explore, weeks of new content will ultimately revive the game we all love!
The goal here is to revive this brilliant masterpiece of code. We can do it, it’s a totally possible goal that if we AND the devs put the effort into, we can totally achieve.
Kerbal Strong People.
