When you target a body there should be a way to find the correct transfter window. Maybe on the map screen a strip of your orbit turns yellow or doted lines from the target - to the sun - then to where your current body should be. Like most of my stuff I am just throwing it out there but it would be a really nice quality of life improvement like the orbit skip button I have brought up before. If I need a tool to help me do something better it should be in the game.

Yessssssss
There was a KSP competition recently, and Transfer Window Planner was one of very few mods used. I think a stock tool would be very handy, especially without mission planners or even competent manoeuvre planners.
I think just a time warp to transfer button when you set something as target would be good enough
That would be a good balance between the game helping and you still having to do maneuver nodes on your own.
https://ksp.olex.biz/ is a good website to calculate this, and its pretty useful as it has in-between moon travel, such as mun to minmus or joolian moon transfer windows.
it also has ejection angle and delta v necessary, and overall is pretty useful
Thank you for the link. My problem is eyeballing the angle in game. I used to hold a protractor up to my screen.
I usually just get to a solar orbit, make a dummy maneuver that crosses the orbit of the planet and then spam the "next orbit", take the closest encounter that comes and refine from there by moving the node. usually works just fine and isn't hard to do
also this is in ksp1 so idk if it works the same in ksp2 yet, I'm soon getting the hardware i need to try ksp2
I guess that’s good if you aren’t worried about the time that adds to your mission.
Me too. We shouldn't have to do this
