Weekly Challenge #29 Traversing a Starfield:

Primary: Build a Starfield-inspired VTOL spaceship that can take off and land vertically, but fly horizontally. Show us how close of a match your Kerbals' ship is to your Starfield ship.
Secondary: Successfully test your VTOL by landing it on the parking garage or VAB roof.
Jeb: Land your VTOL on the Mun like it's 1999. Use main engines to cancel horizontal velocity, then ventral thrusters to soft land.
Val: Use your VTOL to deploy cargo to the Munar surface (saddle trusses and cargo bays recommended!), then return to orbit. If your VTOL is a spaceplane equipped for re-entry, return it to Kerbin.

When sharing on social be sure to use the #starfield to showcase your crafts!

I'm better at editing than making ships from a game I haven't played or researched much yet...

Here's my pretty quickly put together SSTO inspired by Starfield ships. The ship flew to Mun and deployed the payload in the form of a rover and Jebediah was able to inspect the front landing gear, which for some reason did not open. Due to bugs and inefficient maneuvers, it will not be possible to return this ship to Kerbin and they will have to refuel. (though, again, I tried to leave a place for Jeb so that he could get out, but again it writes that his place is blocked, which is not good)

And I tried my VTOL shuttles on Laythe but it didn’t really work out to get them home so I had to save the kerbonauts )

I tried to make it look cool but ended up using A LOT of parts; I also tried to avoid clipping (unless it's for the main shape of the ship, using very thick wings to break up the normal rover pod shape, so it looks a little more aerodynamic)
