Depending on your computer build it can be good or mediocre, or just unplayable simply.
Maybe your computer is clustered with dust or something, or maybe you need better airflow
or try to reduce the graphics to the minimum
do i say my specs
go for it
one sec lemme find
not the best but not the worst, 32 ram gigabytes and nvidia quadro M2000M and intel r core tm i7 6820HQ CPU @ 2.70GHz, 2712 mhz is what i found
That is pretty old i don't know if it meets the requirements for ksp 2 to be honest with you even with 32gb of ram
yes
i bought a computer from 2010 and have usedit for like 3 years
or laptop
not sure if from 2010 or what
Yeah you're gonna need an upgrade to play it
yes
i probably will
but stuff expensive
i cant just save up 50$ and buy good specs
True depending on the time of the year you can get good deals if you search for it
id go bankrupt
Well stuff is expensive
Not sure that laptoip is gonna be upgradeable enough, a lot of them put everything on the main board and maybe let you upgrade the RAM and storage (which isn't a problem here)
Though it does seem like the M2000M has an MXM interface, so maybe
CPU might be fine but the GPU isn't (too slow, and not enough VRAM)
what is vram
It's like ram but for the graphics card
I meant upgrading for a better laptop or even a tower, I know his laptop isn't very upgradeable

Development has been slow, but, since launch, performance has gone up considerably as bug counts have gone down; an average system can expect playable frame rates. Despite this, it is still often frustrating for enthusiasts of KSP 1 due to the number and scope of bugs. At the moment, it could best be described as a very playable alpha. It does not yet have approximate parity with KSP 1.
Its almost an existential question... but for me, not yet.
Reason is that I really enjoy Missions and Collecting Science, so as that's not there yet, although its nice to see it kind of runs on my old PC, I won't play much with it until there's more of my kind of fun available. This also allows me the time to save up to get a new PC which hits the recommended specs.

no it's not worth it
running at a low resolution and windowed with the lowest graphics settings, i still get 7fps
just get ksp 1 it performs better, is cheaper, and has more features
for now get ksp 1 their stupid production company made them release it early so it hasnt delivered on any promises yet
i already have ksp 1
theres no reason to buy ksp2 atm if you have ksp1
Your GPU is way too old/weak, the game will probably run but at unplayable FPS.
I use a 970 with 8gb ram and it does just fine
A Quadro M200M is barely equivalent to a GTX 750 from 2014, about 3 to 4 times slower than a 970...
Yeah, no way you can run the game well to play with that

Yikes
I don’t think he should even play ksp1 with that thing
This is a perfectly fine GPU for KSP 1
I think base game it is, but with any mods he’s taking a gamble
i can run fairly decent even with 50 mods
above 10 fps sometimes
I would consider 30+FPS to be playable, 60+ to be good
Also for ksp1, it depends what mods you install,if it's parralax, scatterer, eve, it's going to be much worse that a few quality of life or parts mods
If you want a ksp game get ksp 1 won't be worth it until at least science is released, maybe even colonies.
If you're happy to help production and believe they will get there eventually then yes it's worth it if you have ksp 1

Wow that is the best response yet, the game is in a very playable state. With 0.1.4 the AMD flicker got fixed, FPS optimizations improverd for most and the parts manager is very quick overall the game is starting to get a very strong base built. I and many others want to see thermal re-entry and science added to really have parity to ksp1. Though I will say it has been very enjoyable and I have been able to land a rover on duna, launch many probes and mun missions without any real game braking elements.
Its pretty good with 0.1.4 and I have about 100 hours in the game rn BUT there is a new bad bug tho

its an opinion, some may consider 120 fps decent, some people like me have a laptop that can only go up to 60 fps
fun fact: the only thing i really care about in ksp 2 is the new parts and the new wing rescaling thing, it looks fun
if there would be a mod that adds that to ksp 1 i would be hapPy

No. Multiple bugs that break the gameplay.
which ones
Playable frames my ass
The average person does not own a quantum supercomputer
So in response, no

I get 40fps with a laptop 3060 in australian heat
so yes not a supercomputer
I can play just fine
thats still 1 fps, which isnt playablein my opinion
its 30 fps with my below minimum spec PC
well apparently the people working on a quantum supercomputer are doing something wrong
they forgot the gpu no wonder it wont run ksp 2
fr
Oh no we forgot the Gpu!!!
a quantum gpu the screen is on and off at the same time
Well, it depends, but the main part is whether you want to have a game to play right now or want to watch it grow. My humble opinion.
KSP2 does have some major bugs, but they are not as bad as they were. My 0.1.3 playthrough lasted for 2.7 hours, and I have only encountered three bugs. They are the infamous orbital decay, wing pieces invert and having my engine exploded upon staging. Not necessarily unplayable, but I suggest you to wait a little for more bugs to be squashed. Also, performance is around 20 for my RX 580 plus 8700k. Bad for some, but actually better than KSP1 + Parallax and EVE-Redux.
I play on an ASUS TUF gaming laptop and it's much more playable now than when it first went into early access. I think that if you want to be able to occasionally give feedback and bug reports to help the game grow then it's a great time to get it.

guys is ksp2 worth it, i have a 3060 and 16gb ram. My pc runs ksp with a lot of visuals mods well, and i really enjoy the game.
ksp2 runs fine until u have a lot of parts
I have exactly this build. It runs okish it is laggy sometimes but usually 40fps with (most) crafts.
I also own a steam deck, is it even worth asking if it runs well on the steamdeck?
Controlling wouldnt be an issue i have m&k and i already tested ksp 1 it runs decently well
If ksp2 would consistently get 20 fps id be happy
something near that
woho
wait gonna try !worth

fun fact: ksp 2 was only released early because people wanted new game, now people angy that it isnt very playable at release
I think most would have wanted a functioning game rather than just the game
Not even: it was most likely because T2 needed growth for investors in that fiscal quarter and just said "release it you have 4 months"

nope had to release because take two the publishers are greedy and didn't give the devs enough time and made them switch studios and then expected it to be released on a deadline
Nothing is worth greedy devs not taking their payment for the game seriously. To release a game so broken, ask for $60, and give effort that's barely worth a 5'er- that's poor form.

It does not yet have approximate parity with KSP 1. The things missing currently are ISRU, robotics, career (which will not be added), commnet and kerbnet. The release of the for science has bettered the game in many ways, and it has progression. KSP 1 is still the more complete game, though KSP 2 has its upsides by being more modern and having better graphics.
New one
Can we make this the new one
