Before the 1.2 patch, I was able to successfully launch some sat probes without issue. Now, after updating to 1.2, I get an error as soon as I get to the launch pad saying that no commnet detected and I can't control my probe. I've seen lots about this but not much in the way of first launch. Is this a known issue and I just need to launch a manned flight instead?

i have started new campaigns several times and that didn't seem to fix it either
