As for why I chose to base the robot arm booms off the Canadarms; they are the perfect examples(that I can think of anyway) of how a robotic arm should look and perform like in KSP2.

#

As for the “hands”, we can always use the docking ports, but dedicated hands and grapple points wouldn’t be a bad addition either.

We already had extendable robot arm pieces in KSP 1

yes, we did

#

the pistons

#

but that isn't what I was referring to

#

Plus, pistons would be a terrible choice to make an arm out of, due to the wobble they can produce in KSP1 with. In a lot of recreations of Canadarm, girder segments, I beams, and cubic octagonal struts are more capable. Plus kraken tech, but that's its own thing

yeah when breaking ground ksp2???!!!

yup

#

hence why I suggested the boom pieces if we are getting robotics

#

it'd make building an arm much easier, and it'll be more structurally sound than using pistons

#

Wanted to add this as well

lost current
#

you do realize not everyone wants to have a lame arm that connects crafts to a station right

Was the wording not obvious enough?

#

Ie: “for those to want to make an arm”
