Trying to make a jet with drop tanks, but no matter what i do i cant get the fuel to feed from the drop tanks first, always balanced. i can manually do it in the fuel transfer system but there should be no reason the fuel line dont push into the center tank

I had quasi-asparagus staging via fuel-lines on a massive ascent-stage and it worked… outer-tanks/engines drained/stopped first and allowed me to drop them… fuel line goes from drop-tank to central?
Maybe it was working for me because crossfeed was off otherwise, or because the outer tanks had engines too? 🤷🏻♂️
