Cannot rotate the view/move the angle of view with the mouse

Whenever i am on the launchpad and later in space, i cannot rotate zoom or move the view. What am i doing wrong ? As the tutorial said i do a right click and hold the right mouse button and move the mouse. But nothing is changing. I cannot view the whole spacecraft nor can i look around it. Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?
