kinda hard to build a rocket without knowing how much delta v it has at all times

Is this why the trip planner and VAB has a different delta v than the launch pad? I couldn't figure that out and was about to file another topic.

yeah, the trip planner could be very useful, but i want to be able to see the deltaV, TWR and other stats for specific stages. as far as i can tell, the trip planner only tells you the overall deltaV

You can pop up a window in the VAB which at least shows you TWR and 🔺V for stage 0. The button is located on the left side of the launch button.
