Taxes / VAT for Mollie Payment

Hey folks,

am I right assuming that for the payments api the user is responsible for detecting the customer's location and calculating tax accordingly or is there any mechanism in place that does tax calculation on the Mollie backend (similar to e.g. Paddel)? All ressources I found was the following post (https://help.mollie.com/hc/de/articles/9240965652114-Was-ist-USt-MwSt-und-wie-wirkt-sie-sich-auf-meine-Transaktionen-aus-), however, some details / clearance would be reassuring 😉

That is correct, we do not offer any automated tax functionality.

They still do not have the functionality. You should do it in your own code. Btw it is possible to force the country in the mollie api call as well. So an US based customer can only use a US creditcard if I remember correctly

We are creating a webcomponent that automates VAT compliance fully. It goes perfectly together with Mollie. What is the best way to contact Mollie about this without getting stuck in supportscripts 😉
