This effect doesn't seem to scale in size correctly on the player with vision radius, but it appears to work on the drone. Even getting 100% vision radius or more I did not notice a field size increase on the battle map. Strangely, it seems to work in the base when picking the item up.

Because it increases by same percentage as your vision range

I had a drone with little to no vision range buff and stood in its field with my 50%+ vision range and the circles overlapped which means its not working
it works in the base and on the drone but not the player
