I had the whatever destroyed before, which spawned the Gene. But I did not pick it up that same run, and it's been missing ever since.

Ahh, I see. So you need to visit the 1.1 location again next run. You might be looking at it in the 1.2 location, but it will not be there during a run until you shoot the capsule at 1.1.

I have looked in both spots. The gene is not at 1.2
And there is nothing to destroy to spawn the gene (again) at 1.1
I will open up a Bug Report, just in case it might be abug.
Seeing how Charpeep is having the same issue.

That is very odd. Is it locked here still?
Yeah if you have nothing at the 1.1 location and its locked in the nurse, that's a bug.
