crafting first set of mammet tools and then telling the crazy dude to clear it up

starting workshop 2 and landmark 1 gives nothing, more info on completion
currently rank 4 and nothing new will open up until I rank up.
nix that, I'm just blind. upgraded the cabin, got 1755 exp, new stuff to do
1425 exp for finishing the second workshop build, none for pasture and cropland expansions. landmark 1 is still building. also I have a sneaking suspicion some of those exp values might actually be percentages rather than fixtures, but that'll require some more testing and mindless grinding - I'll try to switch it up once I get around to unlocking island no. 6

will do ^^ I like contributing data even though I'm definitely waaaaaaay too "my pace" to min-max. and a fair bit of the building up process will take days rather than hours anyway, so it's a marathon, not a sprint.

True I did notice that. Though most of the guides out there online are easy to read, it was hard for me to discern when the quests would appear. I'm getting the hang of it now though. I still can't use the recommendations because I'm low rank but it's for the best that I learn to maximize the workshops and graineries myself. :3

vendor avaiability at R2 when I've done basically nothing. I have no cowries to actually buy anything, of course, but this is kinda... big, I think?
also mammet wants me to talk about crops or something idk
CC1 at nighttime, could be prettier I guess. also I'm not super likely to ever see the CC1-associated stairs/ramps that way because the area unlock is gated behind CC2 iirc... ah well. might get a better glam shot during daytime though.
learning how to water my plants has yielded 3000 exp and 700 cowries.
learning how to feed my animals has yielded 4000 exp and 1000 cowries
the murder of multiple trees at the hand of a mammet has yielded me 1520 exp
I am currently Rank 3 with CC1 and pasture/cropland 1, able to register 120 furnishing glams and place 25 furnishings. I can place 40 minions though I got no idea if that's normal or not because I never do.

the timers are every bit the same as before. Now waiting on my first landmark to finish in the middle of the night (11-12 hours), and if I wanted to build that second workshop (I don't!) it would be the usual 2-3 hours.

Rank 5, I may now construct a Granary (hell yes that's what I came here for!). Islekeep's Shovel yielded 720 exp.
crafting tools for MK 3 yielded 720 exp, feeding him another 1k of my cowries got me 2160 exp, furnishings avaiable to place now 55
finishing upgrades to pasture 2 and cropland 2 yielded nothing, of course, because those mammets are MEAN!
building granaries, no surprise here, still 2-3 hours
also this is probably info you already have (and is obvious, but... not everything is obvious lol), but the second cave unlock is gated behind the R15 vision/quest, not (or at least not just?) R16 or the original cave unlock.
My R16/CC4/G4/L4 alt does not get access. (the R16/CC4/G3/L5 one does however)

I was garbage levels of tired yesterday and forgot to take a screenshot of landmark 1 completion, so here's landmark 2 with 1800 exp and if my memory serves that is exactly the same as the previous levelling process so.... it's probably fine.

upgrading to WS2 - 6-7 hours, sounds about right.

(I don't actually expect much new info beyond "oh hey this is what's avaiable for purchase from rank 2" and furnishings. and "can I unlock R16+ with just the one workshop?")
997 exp for crafting the bronze gig, 997 exp for crafting the mammet tools, and 1500 cowries cost for a 2565 exp yield for telling the mammet to go kill some more trees. tree murder also upgrades the number of placeable furnishings to 65.
2565 exp for upgrading to cozy cabin 3. of course, I prompty regret unlocking the area, because now I only have enough cowries to tell the mammet to get me pasture 3. (3-4 hours)

mildly interesting, landmark 4 area unlock is gated by either pasture upgrade and/or workshops built. I assume it's the pasture but I have no cowries so gathering is all I can do before I test that.
(I got a big fat zero things at Rank 9 - just a nice "oh hey you levelled up")
Rank 10, also big fat nothingburger. Unfortunately, with just the one workshop (<_<) I won't have enough cowries until another day or three. For the pasture, that is, not even for the landmark area unlock
maybe I can grind out R11 or R12 meanwhile.... to, uh, show my insanity.
pasture upgrade unlocked both the automation tools (expected), 997 exp, and the area unlock tools, 1230 exp
....I still have no cowries for the area unlock though XD
mildly interesting, maybe (different alt) - at R15 you get access to the Bestestest Tools as well as the Steel Hammer - which you can't make because you're missing intermediate steps (R9 tool which never unlocks, cave unlock....) but they do show up.

of course, I promptly forgot to check the vendor for the past few levels... the only item added to the shop since R2 is the garlond bike though (this is R11)
(looking at another alt's screenshots, R9 does not have it, so the bike is probably flat R10)

sold some stuff to be able to afford the unlock. still costs 3k cowries, yields 3280 exp, unlocking the L4 area is what yields flying (regardless of number or landmarks placed or number of workshops placed - I have one workshop on her and can confirm my zero-landmark alts also have flying)
L4 area unlock also ups the avaiable furnishings to 75
the really interesting question is, will building L4 grant me access to the cave? or will I have to build more workshops?
2460 exp for the 4th landmark. this does not, however, unlock the R9 tool, so I definitely need to build stuff on those plots.
building brand new workshops now, they're taking 2 hours. no surprise here.
1425 exp per workshop rank 1 built. and the vision requirement - is having all plots full, regardless of level. vision triggers by talking to the furball, of course, and yields 7500 exp and 5000 cowries.
furball wants to do more talking to unlock the hatchet, crafting it yields 2180 exp
did the quest rq (gave me the set of clothes, no store unlocks) and set my two brand new workshops upgrading to rank 2 (takes 1-2 hours at this stage, for both) - so I guess the time reduction is baked into the vision or something (or the island rank, but I have no way to test that now....)
reaching rank 12 gets me a "go talk to the furball" again, yielding 10k exp and 7k cowries
also notable, R12 and/or the R12 vision (note to self: cross-check with landmark-less alts) have added more purchaseable gear and the alligator to my store window
hallelujah I have enough cowries to automate things now. quest gave me gear of course, no store unlocks, time to check out that mountainside.
lots of back and forth and gathering, crafting the spelunking tools (open sesame!) yields 3080 exp, handing them to the mammet to open the cave and complete the vision is 13500 exp and 7k cowries. also my furball wants to talk to me again.
nice talking to you, furball, I guess? that did nothing. have smacked the three cave nodes now avaiable to me once, I guess the tool was R13 or something. will grind it out later (after I check my granaries on the other alts)

hitting R15 - 4225 exp for crafting the mammet tools, 3k cost for paying the mammet, 4875 exp in return. having that wall kicked down also ups placeable furnishings to 90 and placeable minions to 50 (up from 40 I think?)
building WS1 number 4 takes 1-2 hours and L5 11-12 hours because of course it does.
building ws number 4 yielded 1425 exp, upgrading to rank 2 takes 1-2 hours (I mean yes obviously)
fourth workshop upgraded to rank 2 for 2300 exp (no change there). upgrade to rank 3 now takes 1-2 hours but I don't know what the trigger is (rank, vision, area unlock?) because of course I fully upgraded the other workshops despite technically not needing to like the idiot I am. Ah well, another mystery for another alt.
4550 exp for L5, 2760 for upgrading WS4 from R2 > R3, R3 > R4 is still 11-12 hours obviously (and I need coal....)

more absolute non-news, 9170 for the mammet tools, 17500 exp and 7k cowries for telling him to go smack a wall open
R16 and the whole cave unlocked, so more stuff for sale (that wasn't avaiable at R15, last time I got new stuff was at R12 I think)
