Since all diving suits in the game have glass helmets, it would be great if they could be pierced or the glass could break from any heavy blow or weapon. For example, it could happen due to extreme pressure, or falling to the ground when the ship crashes into something, and so on. This would add both realism and extra challenge to the game, and create truly fun and hilarious moments, making it a great update for roleplayers.

This would be awful

#

Realistically all damage should break the suit instead of applying to you, but it would make for terrible gameplay

New update. The only healing item you ever need is the suit sealant.

I mean just for the suit, for example, the suit wearing down, deteriorating, or getting torn after a creature attack, but it would be a great update specifically for the front visor

#

It would be awesome if there was a sealant item like that to fix it when it breaks too

Funniest thing is I added suit durability as a feature of my cbt mod I'm working on BaroDev

If any piece of armor took some damage alongside you from every attack and lost its properties (damage and pressure protection) as it reached 0 condition, it'd probably be "balanced", but I'm not sure if it'd add all that much to the gameplay.
The sealant item would effectively be an inventory slot tax. You'd need to have one on you in every underwater combat situation.

And it effectively would turn into a fourth mandatory medical item type. Something you'd always carry alongside opiates, blood loss recovery items, and treatments for bleeding.

#

This would allow us to make diving suits lose condition from rolling around on the floor, though, so that's something. BaroDev

Would be a cool implementation if the visor slowly cracks when your below Maximum depth the suit can handle rather than it not working at all

I'll say yes to that purely so conditional wearable sprite is a thing in xml BaroDev

#

Tho i think they are already adding that

You could have diving suits apply affliction that would track damage received to head while wearing that suit, and if some amount of damage was taken in one hit, it would put texture overlay of cracked glass while that suit is worn, really depends how deep you want this to go. You could make it entire mechanic or just a bit of visual flavor.
