Barreleye-class Submarine Mod
This mod adds the Barreleye-class Submarine to Barotrauma.
The Barreleye-class is a Tier 2 reconnaissance submarine equipped with full manufacturing facilities and research labs. Its price is set at 15,000 Mk, making it an average-cost option.
The most distinctive feature is the massive glass dome at the bow, offering players a unique view and an unforgettable atmosphere. Interior movement is designed entirely around stairways, creating a different feel from standard layouts. (NPC stair navigation has been tested.)
Armament includes:
• 1 dual coilgun
• 1 pulse laser
• 1 depth charge launcher
• 1 discharge coil
• 1 turret hardpoint
While the weapon count is average, the turret suffers from a critical flaw: it cannot cover the upper-right firing arc.
Performance:
• Speed: 25 km, average for its class
• Reactor output: sufficient to reach maximum speed without battery assistance, though with little margin
Defense:
The submarine’s signature glass dome, numerous windows, and stair-based design result in catastrophic defensive capability. The only redeeming feature is the duct system, which includes backflow prevention, ensuring the vessel does not instantly sink even when the lower hull is breached.
