You will be able to move away radiation, or stop it, doing difficult missions. There will also be a new mission about restoring an artifact that stops or moves away radiation (missions with moving away radiation will be in the radiation zone. To get into it, you will need to buy a powerful energy fuel rod (1500 credits or more)).

Or maybe we should just balance the rate at which the red zone crawls across the map. Right now it's a non-threat, because of how easily you outpace it.
I don't mind the idea itself, it's just not relevant at the moment.
Also, "credits". Russian translation of Barotrauma changing the name of the Europan mark is such a strange choice.
I decided to choose the option with missions, since it will be connected with the plot, as well as the ruins. This would add understanding to the plot, because it is unknown where the radiation came from (not of course if you watch the video explaining this it will say that: This radiation is created by Jove, or the guards who want to free themselves from eternal listening to his song). And the missions about removing the radiation can just explain that the guards do this to find peace. And the artifacts protecting from radiation were built by Jove himself (or those who obeyed him but they understood too late why he created these artifacts)
You also say that this is not relevant, why? Can you please explain.
It's not relevant gameplay-wise, because radiation isn't too fast. It's too slow instead. You don't need to waste time pushing it back, the way it currently works.
Got it, but I just wanted you to be able to move it to reveal the old area that's covered in radiation. (and yeah, I still haven't checked if there's a thing that protects against Jupiter radiation in the game, if there is then I just wasted my time lol.)
Nothing fully protects against it, but also the entire point of the mechanic is to stop you from sticking around in one place for too long. Keeping the radiation's approach slow while also adding a way to reverse it defeats the point entirely.
Okay, I get it, I'm being slow. I thought this would add to the plot.
how would you even move away radiation though
I mean, the lore's all bullshit anyways, right? If radiation can reach you 4 km underwater, there may as well be a magical alien way to push it back. Who cares.
it kind of makes sense because solar radiation and europa has no atmosphere and also jovian radiation
everything has atleast a half assed excuse
but something like a "radiation pushback alien device thingamajig" that pushes back radiation in a 50-100m radius would be cool
maybe it worked on alien power cells or something
By doing this to the radiation
