So I enjoy barotrauma but after awhile you lose the horror effect and Adding new creatures can only be scary at the start and people will become more sanatized to it and it will no longer be scary in their eyes. Adding creatures wont keep the horror aspect we are only scared of new creatures like the new husk because we never have runned into one of them because People fear the unknown so what if everything was unknown. What if a option was added to make everything outside the sub was pure pitch black, no outlines in the dark when in caves where we can see things even in the dark just pure pitch black and it will make things unknown provoking the idea to bring a flashlight to actually see anything. Crawlers or even husk in wrecks will only be seen in light everything else pitch black until shined with light NOW THAT brings more unknown feeling to your surroundings keeping the constant horror effect that your in a pure pitch black ocean with creatures around you that you can't see.

Not everyone likes playing modded I think It should just be a vanilla option along side ironman so people can choose to still play vanilla and have that option.

what do people have against playing modded lmao

some people like sticking to vanilla there's no harm in having it as a vanilla option so you don't need to download a mod for whether you like to play vanilla or modded

looks lovely

well not on player-made modules and subs at least

#

hulls have ambient lighting as default

#

the only things they could do is remove that from what they can

#

and also that lighting the player gives off a bit

So it's another checkbox added to the lobby menu, created for the slim slice of the Venn diagram which contains people who both want global darkness installed on their server and can't be arsed to click a button on the Workshop page.
I guess you can say that about any request which is already covered by a mod, it's just a question of how niche a request is and how many of them you can add to the vanilla experience as settings before the lobby turns into an unnavigable mess.

literally one of the main reasons why mods exist...

I think mods which can be added to the base game as non-optional content and serve as noticeable improvements are worth looking at. Like the sound design of Soundproof Walls, which with some tweaks could serve as a great addition to vanilla.
Adding mods as settings is iffier, because they already serve as optional content.

If only soundproof walls worked without those bugs of everyone on local being muffled

Or when the water sound goes on forever
