it would be cool on some servers instead of having to make a custom sub holder which will be in the way for the rest of the game. Instead have the ability to spawn in multiple subs with the host able to set the maximum amount so servers wont lag. maybe having another line telling where it looks like "spawnsub barsuk foward" or "spawnsub humpback backward".

yeah those developer features are annoyingly locked
They locked for a reason
They intended for development purposes in SINGLEPLAYER

Because it is unsync'd
i'll restate but be more specific about what i mean
those developer features are annoyingly not compatible with multiplayer and/or locked
thats why the host can tell how many the max is in the game menu
so if mods have it they cant spawn in 100 and chrash the server
thats not the issue
theres no code that actually networks submarine spawning
how it currently works is that both the client and server spawn the submarine in the same exact way at level start, assuming everything goes fine
I suggested this a long time ago and a dev tried to implement syncing for spawning submarines, they ended with a working-ish implementation but it never got to be reviewed, QA tested and improved
i believe the dev that worked on implementing it doesn't even work on barotrauma anymore so
