Welding doors shut feels not useful enough and too expensive.

Firstly, it's only really useful against humans. It feels like monsters like Mudraptors burst through a welded door in basically the same time, which doesn't make much sense. Welding a door shut would signifigantly stabilize it from damage via a solid metal connection and less leverage points to tear into. Welded doors should have 5x the health than regular doors, so welding the outside airlock shut to protect against Mudraptors would be a legitimate strategy.

It also takes a really long time, which also means it needs a lot of welding fuel to set up. Making it around as fast as cutting a door would improve its utility for traitors, who otherwise waste time doing something that can be undone much faster with a simple plasma cutter.

I don't mind it taking a while, but yeah, it'd make a lot of sense if a welded door was harder to break.
