“Cramped and tight, but fast and powerful.” The Emu-class of attack submarines was made by Englund-Rand Heavy Manufacturing to patrol trade routes between stations and respond quickly to piracy or attacks from the local fauna. Despite only displacing four thousand standard tons, the Emu boasts an impressive armament, and the ability to expand her armament for only an additional five hundred tons of displacement all while still boasting a design maximum speed of 23kph.
What she has in speed and firepower she lacks in endurance. She has no onboard defabricator or any sort of fabricator system, and her reactor is fuel hungry and maintenance intensive along with the rest of her electrical grid. Her engines also suffer degradation when pushed beyond a cruising speed of 18kph. A cruiser she is not, but if she can reach a threat she can likely kill it.
She is entirely vanilla in construction and should be compatible with all mods that a vanilla sub would be.
