i belive this has been suggested before
somebody has tried to make a barotrauma 3d before and it would require making an entire new game
they abandoned it
good tradeoff because you'd be able to shoot around your teamates instead of shooting into them
though i still doubt that most people would hit the monster
try using turrets
oh no
imagine trying to hit a spineling
with a pulse laser
in 3D
oh no
hammerhead swarm but try not to womit for color stuff
Tried working on it awhile ago but swimming in VR causes motion sickness and would require a lot of work
It's always been a thought in my mind to make one but I'm not good enough to commit myself to something as big as that
Modded subnautica. Everything reskinned to look like baro. Modified versions of the uhh cyclops sub with reactor added. Explodes with aurora meltdown boom boom.
Could work as a testing ground since there's something to work off of rather than build a whole new game from scratch
i don’t think adding guns would make the dev happy
but it is the closest game to baro
they even have alien ruins and some kind of robot built by them
True true
But one thing, I feel like Gore and walls being breakable would tank performance in subnautica
Actually nvm Idk how creature animation works if adding multiple detachable limbs in 3D
you’d have to throw out the entire damage system
instead of having a health bar or for the larger ships little holes you need to plug entire walls being destructible
Dw guys, I’ll learn how to code from the beginning. Should have the game done in 5 years 😁
Motion sickness is what people forget about, since most users think they would want omnidirectional motion, and I tried it and it’s horrible
i dont really like the idea of 3d baro honestly
i feel like it just wouldnt work as well as it does in 2d
what
it'd have to be in 3d to be vr right
As I said before, tried it and it give motion sickness due to swimming in the water, swimming is 50% of the game
If you want an example of how it looked, https://youtu.be/u7mreUALlmQ?si=Z-wtbQfgIsRx9pTu
Hey what's going on guys, this video I will go through how to use pitch and roll to your advantage in echo arena/echo vr. Use it to get better angles on goals, juke, get better shots.
How to go upside down in echo vr

there is really no need to roll in echo, just move your body a little
but i guess some people are
plenty of wires i guess
if you get motion sick easily VR prob isn't for you in general
you can try to make it but its not a easy thing
I have idea
Barotrauma mod for space engineers
Thrusters that only work in water
Large planet with deep ocean. Can't get off
Just add creatures that can damage the ship. Parts of the hull can already be destroyed and repaired so half the work is cut out for it
Gravity anomaly could also be added easily since planets already have their own gravity in game. Just need to modify zones within the planet to have higher/less or fluctuating gravity
Rather than sub editor, people can literally modify their ship in game and add turrets whatever
