To coincide with the r14-evidence system, allow us to have a place to enter serial numbers from casings found at a scene, blood DNA sequence, fingerprint sequence, etc.

All of the aforementioned evidence items are basically 24(?) digit random alphanumeric sequences.

This would allow standardized documentation of crime scenes with a searchable record for follow up investigations or for matching future scenes against the same serial numbers.

Right now, the only searchable field is the title and it’s not desirable to have to put the aforementioned serial numbers into the title field, particularly for large scenes with a lot of evidence.

It should also be configurable if the fields should be filled by default or officers should have to fall them out manually upon arresting someone.

it should also be a shared database between ems and police, so ems could collect it and police could use it in files. 🙏🏽

Search fields on the MDT should allow the following:

Author - Guess this doesn't help as it shows only last person who saved. but if it was able to search for the original person who opened it would assist in command to search their employees to check their reports.

Title

Case Number

Those 3 data points are critical for LEO's and possibly EMS to search for reports made by people, DOJ looking for a case quickly and have a simple reference number instead of the entire Title.

An Evidence tab should be added on the left side of the MDT options to be able to record different types of evidence (fingerprints, DNA, casings, unlicensed weapons, drugs, etc). This would be similar to another mdt where they are searchable by the IDs. Then have these be able to be tagged into the reports/cases on their own field outside of where you type up your reports. Have us manually update the fingerprint IDs on the citizen’s profiles and add a field for their DNA IDs as well. This would help users who use scripts such as the R14 evidence script or similar to be able to utilize them to their full potential.

We do the same, and also write our own record IDs in the title as they are unsearchable

I don't even understand how the basic functions of MDT that is designed for LEO use doesn't have the search capability. Having literally only the title be the only thing you can search is crazy.
