Discuss how this normal card would be placed into the tier list! Assuming how easily it can be used in general or placed into a deck. Factors which contribute to this include offense, (poking/piercing, flanking, winning clashes, good special tile placement so you can easily special attack from it later) defense, (blocking, establishing routes, map control/occupying space, good normal/special tile placement so it isn't easily special attacked over later) openings, (meaning its played on the 1st turn) special building, (combo ability, how easy is it to activate the card's special point) special attacks, (this can be considered for all aspects of the match which is early/mid/endgame) its ability to be played at any time, (wont be a brick/unusable past a specific point) and finally the niche situations that it would be usable in if thats applicable. Which is described in the voting channel. (Note that every map is considered in discussions except for Box Seats)

i do not understand the appeal of this card beyond the fizzy/suction combo
overrated; you don't want to intentionally plan to use your 3-cost card for a combo. negative synergy for the role of 3 costs. overwritten easily, often better off bringing an 11 cost and an 8 cost.

fizzy/suction lovers love him
i think it has more use outside of combos but i'd rather have showers say that since theyve actually used the card
I'm gonna say it
Goo Tuber is better than this card.
not only is Goo Tuber better, but Goo Tuber + Slosher is a better combo too
It's a 3-wide that fills space efficiently, it has a combo with Fizzy/Suction, it has decent reach for early game, it's slim to fit later game, it's a decent attacking option that very easily charges itself when attacked for a charge refund, it has a good shape that meshes with other cards easily... but it's quite lop-sided and vulnerable to attacks, it's reliant on a combo tool to charge normally, the reach isn't perfect, the attack efficiency isn't optimal...
...it's a great card, don't get me wrong, I still think it's high tier, and it's gotten me this far as a part of my deck~
But I can't rate it higher than 7️⃣, because it still has one or two rather glaring weaknesses, the main one being its sheer reliance on a second card, that can lead to some unfortunate endgames or 50/50 gambles if you're not careful
It's a decent option, but it's by no means a card that you can just stick in any deck to make use of
Also I've spoken about the special vulnerability issue before, when Nerdbird brought it up in #gameplay-advice a little while ago, so I'll quote that here:
while i do like mudmouth the weaknesses are pretty apparent once you start to pick apart the card
Safest combo setup in the game
the entire point of small cards is to be able to play them in a small space when you would otherwise brick AND ALSO to generate special running up to the final turns of the game
mudmouth (if setup correctly) allows fizzy and suction (and octopod
) to do this probably better than any other card in the game
I genuinely do not understand people calling this overrated
if used as a special itself mudmouth can generally charge its own special very easily
mudmouth is a very good card for blocky decks which want to defensively build special and calling gootuber better than this borders on trolling
still don't have this card though :(
(also due to its shape this card has very little special vulnerability for a size 13 card)
i want it to eat me
Efficient card
Likely to get cut in midgame or not avaliable in late
5/10
bruh that's literally the same with all large cards
and if anything the regular shape of mudmouth means this is less likely to happen
i singlehandedly
mudmouth only has a 3-wide 6-long footprint
mudmooth still is a gamble
I can't see it being more of a gamble than other comparable cards of its size
Okay
My ratings not changing though
It is a good card yes
But it’s full optimisation relies on a 2nd card
At best
6/10
The justification still seems weird and arbitrary to me but Im already in the "man yells at cloud" position so I'm just going to let this go
It’s a nice card no wrong there
