Discuss how this normal card would be placed into the tier list! Assuming how easily it can be used in general or placed into a deck. Factors which contribute to this include offense, (poking/piercing, flanking, winning clashes, good special tile placement so you can easily special attack from it later) defense, (blocking, establishing routes, map control/occupying space, good normal/special tile placement so it isn't easily special attacked over later) openings, (meaning its played on the 1st turn) special building, (combo ability, how easy is it to activate the card's special point) special attacks, (this can be considered for all aspects of the match which is early/mid/endgame) its ability to be played at any time, (wont be a brick/unusable past a specific point) and finally the niche situations that it would be usable in if thats applicable. Which is described in the voting channel. (Note that every map is considered in discussions except for Box Seats)

Hydra is one of the best cards and it deserves a 10. Other than it being the card of the best weapon generally, it can be a really really good opener in many maps, or follow ups for said openers, it can paint well and can pierce well. It’s overall shape makes it great to combo with other cards to build on others so you can have a strong spawn.
Now special wise it is kind of a weak point because its a 5 special but it isn’t meant to be used that way, its mainly used as a quick paint card with big potential.
For example on main street you can play charger then hydra, blocking off 80% of the stage just like that, or in lakefront you can place it in a way that you can then follow up on both corners, fighting on both sides.
In conclusion this card deserves a 10 and is the goat.

genuinely solid opener on every map
actually doesnt die if you need to place it in your base
you're chunky. block people
you're curved,, thats good in this gase
HEAR ME OUT AS A SPECIAL ATTACK while not the best, not easily to special over

a 9 or 10 both seem valid with these arguements presented

#

id like to see black rose dragons opinion though. i know this is their favorite weapon in pvp

Yeah if you are low on paint and have 5 its best to just quickly snatch pains on the last round. Anyone that votes under a 10 has no taste

i do think burst bomb might not be the worst card in the game. as evidenced by what ljovynn did in gdo lol but its still near the bottom

anyway off topic, hydra is slept on, and it will probably pop up more in statistics going forward

#

the truthers know

valid spruce
#

burst bomb is simply outclassed

you can't be the worst when snatcher exists

If you sleep on hydra i sleep on your mom, that’s my final statement, feel free to quote me later on

Hydra is actually quite a solid card, it's kind of a chunkier Tri-Stringer that only works one way. I don't think it's a 10/10 yet, but it's definitely a solid 9

I really wanted to vote 9, but I'm having to vote 8 instead, for one reason, and it's the same downside I've spoken about before when people ask me about Krak-On.

It's a large bulk of tiles, with the special tile disjointed at one side.

If you try to frontline with this thing as a bulky blocker, it is a giant weakspot for 3-12s to punch into.
