#Each frame takes a really long time to render when using RTX Remix

PC Specs:
Windows 11 22H2
Ryzen 9 7900X
64 GB DDR5 6000 MHz
EVGA RTX 3060 12 GB
Nvidia Driver 555.85

I've also seen this when trying to do gmod rtx, or use it in flatout 2, and the video shows a fresh install of Portal RTX

Quake 2 RTX runs fine as well

Laptop or PC?

I don't think there is EVGA branded laptop gpus

#

It might be a good idea to upload the logs (hl2_d3d9.log, d3d9.log, .trex\NvRemixBridge.log)

Huh [04:21:07.455] warn: Still waiting on the Present semaphore to be released...
I guess thats a dead lock. I searched for the error but seems like its not something you would come across in Portal RTX.

Try these in .trex\bridge.conf individually
threadSafetyPolicy = 2
presentSemaphoreMaxFrames = 0-255 try some high number like 200, it is currently 1 in your config
presentSemaphoreEnabled = False if none works try this
Also open an issue in the rtx-remix repo with the logs and all the details, this is not something you should need to do at least in the Portal & Prelude.

@vagrant nimbus sorry for the ping, do you have any updates on this?

any rtx remix usage

does portal rtx uses normal rtx runtime builds? try a newer version and see if it works🧐(haven't tried portal or portal rtx remix)

would love to use rtx remix on flatout 2

#

but of course, as with all pc's i have, they're all cursed in various ways

rtx remix would look much more realtistic universally if you have right fallback light settings😄
