the true perf upgrade should be with RDNA 5

Thanks, I already have Mint installed (it's what a friend uses so they could help me get started). Got it running last month, but so far I've only used it for Portal RTX and a couple other games. Haven't found time to try OptiScaler yet.

Optiscaller works just fine since it's just dll repkacement. king vulpes did include an other step to follow on linux due to dll changes.

It's a tiny program that sets the variables only for the running program. A good practice i learnt during my scripting courses at school ;)

like if you support DLSS-FG, then what's the point of using optiscaller in the first place ?
Upscaler too, for me there's some denoising artifacts in a lot of places

i think it's better to switch back to fsr2.2, instead of 3.1 or 2.1 (by default)

I'm using 2.1 because 2.2 has a problem where during motion it won't upscale
Tho 2.2 has barley any ghosting compared to 2.1
Maybe I'll use 2.2 for my Desktop since the internal resloution would be higher

well, we already have FSR 3.1 upscaling in Remix. just not the FG, at least not for AMD users

Prelude RTX is worse being on 0.3.0
Just download the latest Remix updates from github and drop them into the proper locations, being .trex for dxvk, and next to the .exe for bridge

I tried nukem's new FG
it works finally
but there's massive amounts of ghosting in portal RTX
tried turning off vignetting and postprocessing effects
but to no avail
its still a huge step forward

also want to add that I tried your mod both on the latest remix version and the one the game ships with
it was maybe slightly better on the newer version
but it could just be my eyes decieving me
there's bugs in remix and (technically) bugs in FSR that prevent it from working properly
it seems like its missing data

prelude doesn't exhibit the same behavior and I don't know the underlying reason(s) why
ill try prelude too, just need to download it first

afterwards I dropped the newer remix version 0.6

and the game started behaving EXACTLY like portal RTX
same ghosting, same flickering
I assume your mod works with whatever version of remix prelude shipped with
whatever they added later causes some sort of incompatibility, my gamer brain can't really deduce that
anyways if you need help testing I'm all for it
I have a general idea of where the bug lies but the remix team will likely be refactoring/rewriting parts of it soon. I'm not gonna bother until MFG/present metering functionality is merged into dxvk-remix

Is there a FSR 4 SDK?
FSR4 doesn't support Vulkan yet and to my understanding RTX Remix uses DXVK to wrap DX8 -11.x to Vulkan as part of its magic. Support for that is happening soon as the Vulkan spec has been updated to support FP8 it needs to function.
Vulkan did receive FP8 the other day
so itās just a matter of waiting
Also, itās only up to DX9 to Vulkan, no DX10 or DX11
Heck, DX7 and DX8 arenāt natively supported, itās using a wrapper to DX9
that's weird because they're using DXVK which started off as a DX 11.x to vulkan wrapper
Itās modified, it does seem to contain the old DX 10 and DX 11 code, but Remix will not work with it

Though i wonder how it can, considering Linux runs ultimately under vulkan for games... and apparently it isn't supposed to work on vulkan

And before that, it was emulation which was slower
I think the only reason we have int8 is because of Sony
Their PS5 Pro doesnāt support FP8 which means something like PSSR is probably using something similar
