yes, its the latest avalonia launcher. put the launcher in a seperate folder from your existing gmod rtx install
you'll see a choice in the setup menu

agx is correctly handling the over saturation by overexposing the brightest points

if you guys are having problems with "accurate" source lights I'm not sure but the formula I basically copied out the source SDK may work for gmod too
Basically convert them in the exact same manner the source engine does when you capture it, with hte same material headers, and then you can use the remix logic if you have it exposed OR just copy paste it like a chad 🦹♂️

dynamic entities arent handled by the custom render stuff at all

found out my replacements crashing the game was pbr haven
should i use the 4k ones instead of the 8k ones
remix can handle whatever texture size your gpu can handle
the crashes are most likely driver related
or a corrupt replacement export

ao maps are used to fake the darken of crevaces
since gmod rtx already does this ao maps arent needed and if you do happen to use them with rtx enabled it will look strange and overly dark
One thing we seriously need is some type of filtering for vertex shading, like in tihs picture, notice how theres not a fine line (like in remix) but a fairly smoothed out edge, you can still notice where the shaded and unshaded vertices collide but it isn't as noticeable
I always avoid that shit in my screenshots, and it's pretty noticeable on hands, arms and gloves (basically half of what I do...)
this is just not possible with path tracing i think
the solution is more verticies really
but since we don't have the skinning stuff yet we can't replace view models with rtx remix
i guess you just need to find an model on the workshop for very high poly c_hands at the moment

It's a known remix issue that vertex normals sometimes get lost in translation
Nothing about path traing says that a low poly mesh can't be shaded smoothly

the skybox thing is weirdly still an issue even with all the addons disabled in the perf patch (which fixed the light stuff), mentioning cause in the normal branch the sky brightness translates the same as normal gmod compared to perf patch, images to show that the normal and perf patch have same sky lighting
You can either load into the map with 2d skybox disabled (sky should be black) or disable 2d skybox, enable Entity anti-culling and use custom hdri skybox
Hi! I installed rtx into the game with the launcher and I'm wondering, how i get more pbr assets? I understand that installing half life 2 rtx and mounting it in the launcher is a way. But what more? I already installed, but i don't know if it work, the Skurtyy's rtx pbr assets from mod db (hl2 ep1 and 2). Thanks

Alternative version of rtx patches with improved culling, api lights and as name suggests better performance especially on bigger maps.
the sky shouldn't be any different from normal gmod rtx. but speaking of, i need to push the skybox hotfix
