i used gigapixel's redefine with a simple "brick wall" prompt, creativity on 2, and i think i set up the texture quite high
a bit sad displacement maps get wacky when viewed from weird angles / upclose

the gravity gun particle bug is a really old source engine bug that only shows in fixed function
this only happens when you're using r_3dsky, i would not enable it as remix can't handle sky camera changes well

you can workaround it by disabling rt before loading a spawnmenu

i use masks a lot in substance painter so i just recognized it
also the right image is the same, just has some weird UV padding
i make masks using paint.net
since the bucket tool is configurable
so you can color blended and non blended colors

the reason you're at 7fps is because nothing gets culled anymore
it was working fine with 30-70fps *with DLSS. and Tired update Gmod and the RTX-Fixes and now it's fps dropping bad

- you can only import one capture per blender project as texture imports will break if you try to do it a second time
- you have to specify the capture texture folder
you will also have to fly or tp to the instances/meshes depending on your scene scale and world transforms

The default toolkit isn't THAT bad, I mean it hogs your vram and crashes at the slightest adjustment of the viewport, what's to hate??
How much VRAM does it consume?
Before the 1.0 toolkit release it would literally eat all of it when doing upscale workflows, namely during ingestion. After a few imports it would eventually reach 0 bytes free, literally every byte of it. Even though I'm on a 3080 10GB I'm sure it would have done the same with any GPU back when I had that glitch
I’m on 16GBs so hopefully it works a bit well
Oh yeah you'll be plenty fine now, the 1.0 update fixed a lot of instability issues in my opinion. I've had a couple crashes when messing with the viewport but other than that it's definitely tolerable
I do think it’s a bit ridiculous the RTX 5070 has 12GBs of VRAM
Like why are we putting 16GBs on cards that don’t need it
Swap the 12GBs to the RTX 5060 TI and the 16GBs to the RTX 5070
And it would have been perfect
why not pull and AMD and just use GDDR6 since its far cheaper
we could probably have 24gb on a 70 series card
I don't see why GDDR7 tho, it might be good for ai OK, it's a gaming card and dlss and fg are working completely fine on GDDR6

even importing things into blender is cool asf
for me the big feature i want to add is a "just works" export feature
drag and drop any blender asset, and when you export the remix project, it will magically append itself to a stable prim and sort all of the texture stuff for you
i have an idea on how to do that but its definitely gonna be a gmod-centric idea lol

the idea is to define a prim\mesh hash as your anchor point for any imported assets. This is something that would only need to be set once for your project
so after you set it, you can just add shit without having to manually attach it to something every time
something i really dislike with the nvidia toolkit
the reason why i said it would be gmod centric, is because 0.7.1 is going to add a marker system just like xoxor4d's in portal2/l4d2
since that texture hash is always the same, i can predefine the mesh\prim path just by locating the texture

Believe me it’s great for AI, the RTX 5060 TI has over x2 the AI performance of a RTX 4060 TI and is right under a RTX 4080 in AI and above a RTX 4070
I mean, you essentially created a way for people to capture their games and import the scene into blender for whatever they want still

@keen rivet Oh launcher idea. Allow to launcher to detect maps from *maps (.bsp) folder (in garrysmod & addons folders) so can force launch gmod to spefifc map. (command line is "map <mapname>")

Problem with +map command line is addons don't load in time for it
I dont want just wait for gmod menu to load then find the map. i want to just load straight into map

i have 2 gmod
Because the map will start loading before it realises you have any addons installed
one main for regualr multiplayer and other just clean with workshop disabled for the RTX-remix
only if you have extracted workshop addons or third-party addons installed.
while gmod is offline/disabled workshop.
I've tested it all addons except local ones don't load
