CNN is better perf on 20 and 30 series, but on 40 and 50 it's minimal perf loss

Are you able to run matrixInvert normally? I know in some SDK versions there is an assert that will fail if mathlib is not initialized

I'd recommend you just implement the invert yourself

Why is the bone positions NOT at least at my current position? -> My transform on the root bone may be incorrect either by mat or matrix op ORDER

Why are my verticies NOT moving? -> The vertex buffer is either unaware of it's total matricies, or something is incorrect in what it thinks it has. This can be either the amount of bones, the position in the worldmatrix, or overwriting what is in there

Am I even getting hardware skinning at all? -> If I run a capture in remix, do I actually get some bones even if it isn't 100% correct, and if so what bones do I end up getting? Bonus if it crashes your game, meaning there is a larger logical failure

Then based on this it is equally possible the amount of bones is not being passed through, though we should at least see 2, or the vert information doesn't contain bone counts etc
At this point you've gotta do some diagnostic probing

There's a function in source which has something along the lines of fmt = VERTEX_POSITION | VERTEX_COLOR | VERTEX_NORMAL | VERTEX_NUM_TEXCOORDS(1) | VERTEX_TEXCOORD_SIZE(0, 2) | VERTEX_BONEWEIGHT(2) | VERTEX_BONE_INDEX;
minus the bone index
and you'd need to add that

there are also places where it hard caps the blend matricies number / resets it
you may have to break those out

since we can easily fill the gaps on the data in transmission

make a copy of your gmod install folder, extract files into that dir and replace when asked. Copy either the old gmod rtx launcher or new one and press launch game

@lapis delta 0.6.5 requires the launcher, but you can also try 0.6.0 which has a manual archive, the binary module isnt that different between them

some times it works flawlessly, other times it just falls apart
dawg half life 2 beta isn't a game - it's leaked, like no bueno, no legal, not supposed to see - just because it's well known doesn't mean it's still a leak
i know this sounds like gaslighting, but x32 and x64 have been perfectly stable for me unless its a rtx remix induced crash (happens on x32 a lot)

0.6.6 is stable as a fucking rock running on a PS5 APU running arch linux with protom, an absolutely worst case scenario
everything was manually installed too, no launcher (cuz fuck opening other exes in proton)

strangely it worked for a bit under the same conditions before it crashed for the first time
grabbing the toolgun from the spawn menu works tho, so it might be the icon or something
