Hi Tiago, Windsurf engineer here. We’re investigating memory issues with the LS

A few questions:

Are you noticing extremely high memory usage upon startup?
Do you use skills / mcps / worktrees?
If you move your ~/.codeium folder to ~/.codeium_old does this fix your issues?

Opening the command palette (CMD+P), downloading Windusrf Diagnostics, and sending the diagnostics it would be very helpful

I have been seeing this today as well but It only lasts for 15 minutes then it slowly drops back down

So I confirmed a work around for the large ram usage of language_server on startup:
The issue looks to be linked to cascade history once the language_server connects.
I renamed ~/.codeium\windsurf\cascade or C:\Users<you>.codeium\windsurf\cascade then restarted windsurf.
You lose history but the large memory spike is gone. Hope this helps
