Hi, just got a new Macbook Pro M5 Pro, setting up fresh install of Windsurf, and cant' login. APplication will open, can't login, and when I use the API key to login, get error "Windsurf failed to start. Please follow the link for troubleshooting instructions.".Diagnostics logs points to SIGSEGV relating to go-m1cpu (https://github.com/shoenig/go-m1cpu/commit/e38588a0def0e3080532eb724f2c562396933486)

GitHub

The M5 Pro and Max do not have e cores, so the likely scenario is that
the eCoreRef is unitialized and resulting in a seg fault when trying to
get the frequency.

#

I also tried rm -rf /Applications/Windsurf.app
rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Windsurf
rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/Windsurf
and rm -rf ~/.windsurf... and reinstalling.

#

tried also Windsurf Next... and tried an earlier version of Windsurf (from download pages). Downlaoded the ARM version.

#

I also submitted bug request through the Windsurf website...

#

luckily, have my old M1 Pro - so will cotninue with that 🙂

Hello @sick shoal, thanks for reporting this. I have already passed the information on to the team.

One caution - because fix so "new" the Restart to Update button at top-right actually "downgrades" to . 1024... so maybe hold off on clicking that for now... (I just reinstalled .1027 and worked again!).
