What you pay is what you get. There is a reason V3 is free...
better than my expereince. my deepseek never does anything. quick think, continue, then it spits out crap like <replace_file_content> {"TargetFile": "/Users///***/backend/app/Services/AssignmentService.php", "Instruction": "Adding methods to handle content relationships in the service", "CodeMarkdownLanguage": "php", "ReplacementChunks": [{"TargetContent": " public function createAssignment(array $data, string $type = 'homework'): Assignment\n {\n // Get the classroom\n $classroom = Classroom::findOrFail($data['classroom_id'
@verbal adder thats a wortless comment. deepseek is supposed to be a model a pro user can run to help lower their cost. but you still end up paying windsurf. THEY still pay to host and run it somewhere. SO its paid for. But if they want a larger user base. you cant put out broken products.
i love windsurf, John that comment is uncalled for
Your "love" for Windsurf has nothing to do with the capabilities of V3. If you're just experimenting with another To-Do demo or Snake game, the model choice doesn't matter much. However, if you plan to invest time into something more substantial, you'll be impressed by how creative Sonnet 3.5 can be compared to lower-tier models like V3.
To make matters worse, since the Sonnet 3.7 update, with or without thinking, Windsurf seems to have become unreliable, using about 15 credits per prompt and not performing well. I'll stick with Sonnet 3.5 for now and hope they address these issues soon.
