just curious is there a reason that you don't want to use windsurf
we did temporarily disable supercomplete for vscode, but we're working on adding it back
(cc: @whole sable )
I don't use VS Code itself but a data science focused fork called Positron. It adds a lot of features that Windsurf does not have. For data science Windsurf is no option.
Don't you think it's rather cavalier to simply disable features that your customers pay for, without so much as a mention in the changelog? When do you suppose it will be back?
it was always beta feature
@zealous mauve just be lazy to switch my IDE😂.
But after this drama I installed windsurf, the installation is smooth and can bring vscode config to windsurf.
Everything is like vscode, great! But I found two annoying part:
- Mongodb extension seems not working in windsurf
- I cannot select multiple lines and uncomment them by CMD+/
And since supercomplete is one main highlight feature of codeium.
I think payed user deserved to be notify that supercomplete has been temporarily disabled in vscode, or maybe remove the supercomplete website of supporting vscode.
As a software engineer our job is to debug our code. I don't want to debug the tools too.
When supercomplete doesn't show in vscode I need to debug it.
This makes me uncomfortable.
