I would try something like "Can you explain how our [codebase feature] is implemented"?

Like "Can you explain how we handle user authentication for our web app?"

#

And if you don't get exactly the right answer, try asking a follow-up

I will try that and also double check I followed all the steps mentioned as well.

#

haven't had any issues, prior to this new implementation I would copy code per file with name of file if I really need chat to have context of my question but I will recheck see if I am missing any settings.

#

various prompts said same thing about not having access to codebase as well

That response from the AI is deceptive. It does have context but it may not believe that context is relevant to your question.

#

try a follow-up question clarifying what you mean

#

what api? what aspect of the api?

lament tinsel
#

just used a random example but I could plug in other examples but I get what you mean by deceptive.

Sorry I didn't mean your question is

#

I just mean the AI's response is misleading -- it makes you think it doesn't have context. It does but it's not the right context

#

If you clarify which API, or you have recently been working editing an aspect of that API, it should help

I tried to further add context to the conversation and started to just give me examples of how we could implement a api rather than use current code base as a reference

#

its a front end app using react. I know how we implement it just want to test the chat to see if it picked up where we are applying the api or give explantion using our code base with references to files

can you try to clear the conversation

#

and ask it "How does the api work when a user [does this thing] in our app

lament tinsel

I must be missing some kind of settings, its totally by passing any reference to code base. I asked exactly that prompt but when a user goes to a certain page , clicks or hovers over a event etc. I will double check later this evening or tomorrow morning. Is there any other features that would not work if I didn't have the right settings? So far I haven't seen any issues or features as they have rolled out not work besides the current one

Only thing I'll double check will be if search is in fact checked, I use this feature several times a week but just to make sure I will. Been really excited about this feature and hope you work out the kinks as this will be so badass for current and future projects

All suggestions are in working order as mentioned
