The goal for Codeium is for it to be a comprehensive code acceleration toolkit built on cutting edge AI technology. Right now, it provides code generation/autocomplete, which means that as you type out comments or code, it predicts what you are want to write and just provides it as a suggestion. So instead of spending a bunch of keystrokes completing that code, you just have to press tab to accept the entire suggestion and you continue on. It is meant to be complementary to your coding - you can think of it as a pair programmer or assistant that just helps you code what you want to code faster.
I have a project coming up in a few months do you think I can use it to code a simple little game or like make calculator out of it?
It doesn't have to be advanced at all like the most simple game would work
Codeium is a code assistant - we cannot promise that it can build entire applications without any input. It has been helpful in speeding up developers doing everything from games to ML research to enterprise applications
Oh that's kinda disappointing
I know a lot of coding terms and how to write them but I tend to make a lot of mistakes will codeium be able to help me with that?
Of course it is hard to promise anything definitively for a particular project, but Codeium can help write code from natural language comments, fill in edge cases that you may have missed, rapidly generate unit tests to catch mistakes earlier, and more!
