Please make it so "Auto Set VM to Income %" should never drop down below 1% of my total Void Matter quantity (in this picture, quantity is 1.39e10, so the AI would add up to 1.39e8). If I have XXXe10 void matter, I can easily sustain XXXe6 void matter being spent. Unfortunately, I either have to auto load XXXe4 VM and run reactor less optimally, or I turn off my AI and risk (much later) running out or forgetting to turn it back on when I prestige. If the income's OOM is greater than the quantity's OOM, then use that (whichever is greater).

Reactor "Auto Set VM to Income %" AI Minimum Amount
even now, many orders of magnitude later, this is still an issue for me. without deselecting the AI, it takes over an hour to recharge compared to a few seconds with it deselected. I can easily support this void matter consumption rate for years but the AI won't use up the necessary void matter:
1% would only give you 100 seconds. Something like 1e-6% might work though
when I turned off the AI and set the amount to e19 instead of e14, the time to recharge went from over an hour to almost instant
the issue with me turning off the AI is that I forget when I prestige and it doesn't get turned back on. in R4, not as big of a deal, but it did take me a while to realize I could reduce to recharge time to mere seconds instead of over an hour when trying to increase my reactor overcharge times
what I meant was basically 1% of income or 1% of quantity (in this case, since I have e28, it would allow up to e26 to be used, which is more than sufficient for the e19 max)
and in my original screenshot from R0 (or R1?), 1% of quantity would have been e8, which is enough to fully power the reactor at the e6 maximum
yeah 1% of quantity would only give you 100 seconds of VM, which I wouldn't be so happy about. But something 1e-6% would last for.. oh is that years? Maybe a tad bit higher than that
otherwise yeah, would like to be able to use auto set VM again
why do you say putting in 1% of quantity would only give you 100 seconds of VM? 1% of quantity in both screenshots is greater than the max amount unlocked through upgrades (in the 2nd screenshot it's 5.17e26, or 319 seconds worth)
because I'm not always going to have OOMs more VM than is required
you are either going to be able to input 1% of income or 1% of quantity, whichever is greater. if you don't have "OOMs more VM than is required", then you won't be worried about where the bar is anyways 🙂
1% of quantity on hand is probably fine? you could make it 0.1% or something? the point is, it's not adding more than your max conversion. so if you do have a years worth of max conversion it won't run out for a year. the setting is practically speaking "use all my extra void matter until i run out, then use 100% of my income"
which i think sounds like a pretty good setting for most of the time
