I dont know if its gonna be broken or op, but second warp core charging by 1/2 speed of main, third charging 1/4 speed of main would be cool.
Maybe make it separate branch of upgrades - like it starts at 10% charge of main on level 1, or the chain length is only 1 warp core at the start and like 3 cores later.

You can always balance it to 1.5x at max, or a little lower, i just like the concept.
