use the package that is for debian 12, the terminal that opens called white box is using the main container vso pico which is debian 12 and when you use sideload it is installed inside that container, so you must use packages for debian 12

vso pico uses debian sid, in debian sid there is almost the latest version of virtualbox, the latest is 7.0.20, but there is 7.0.18, I don't think you will have problems with it, run
"sudo apt install virtualbox virtualbox-ext-pack "
in the terminal, without the quotes obviously

Virtualbox wont work for both vso pico and abroot

Since it requires a kmod to be installed

The only usable way to install virtualbox is compiling the debian packages from scratch but also applying the patches from the virtualbox-kvm project
