Want to be able to take screenshots interactively in gnome, but dont want the "save to file" functionality?

Write to null and make it save but in the void (making it not save any screenshot(s) ever again. Until you reverse it ofc)

ln -s /dev/null ~/Pictures/Screenshots

Notice: This is for GNOME screenshots! // Can be applied to other things like spectacle etc. But thats a field you have to research yourself.

But thats the point. I dont..

#

Gnome screenshots just dont have a toggle for this, which is really really poor design choice to begin with

#

I mean just because you dont find it useful, doesnt mean others wont? these are my personal things i like to do with my install, because it makes it work for me. And most Windows users coming to Linux and especially starting to use KDE / Gnome etc are arguably gonna want adjustments like this to mimic familiarity.

Besides, not having a toggle for either window effects nor screenshot saving. Thats just absurd

300mb is 300mb.

if it was nothing, it would've been exactly nothing (null) which this is

im just saying
