#what are people using to remote connect?

I've used remmina (flatpak) for SPICE. Its probably as good for VNC
I have not tried it but GNOME Settings has a Sharing tab you might try.
It is for local devices only. You can work around that but it is a hassle. It is going to get some improvements in future, I think.
Actually it is pretty reliable lol, in your router you can open the port for RDP for this IP and you can connect to it outside (I do this, but note it works better if you have an Static IP) or else remmina, etc
My router is locked down by ISP to not be able to open most ports...
Airtel?
Yes.
I use Airtel too with managed routers by ISP, you can open ports both in Nokia and Huawei models.
IDK, mine says "Dragon Path Technologies". It is the Huawei one?
Probably yes, do you have access to your router's settings panel in base IP
192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 probably
Yes. But almost everything is disabled there. Grey.
As far as I know BSNL, Airtel doesn't restrict access to the router settings, but I think Jio does, not sure
