You mean the kernel and drivers?
Yeah
We (by we I mean someone) could communicate with the devs and ask if they're interested
Is it actually ready for use on other distros?
I made a half ass comment because Discord is buggy and I couldn't see my message
No, it's in alpha
Could be cool tho, Vanilla OS M1 Edition
Indeed
we disabled it armhf arm64 in launchpad only the builds for amd64
so if it isn't in workable condition, i advise not to and waste our alloted PPA space (10g)
adding other architectures will inflate the size of packages by alot
Oof
if it's packaged in ubuntu then we wouldn't need to do much so that's also an option 🙂
we can make use of that as downstream proj
isnt it just based on arch
Asahi Linux is
but they provide drivers which can be used on other distros (not sure if they implemented that yet tho)
Asahi is not ready for daily usage on Apple chips
