I also need help with this. I want to auto mount a partition too, please.
You can use GNOME Disks to automount
You have to toggle something for it to like work and it isn't obvious
untick this, and actually it should just work with the default settings after this
I did that but it went back to ticked after a restart
not sure where that regression came from then, it worked when I tested it
