I got jumped today (which is to be expected, there's nothing wrong with it) but I noticed something weird. I'm pretty aware of my surroundings, but this guy appeared out of nowhere. Later, I saw one of my teammates get jumped in the distance, but they were loading in and out of my perspective at an awkwardly low distance, and so I did a little test with a friend, and I ran into the conclusion that players only appear on your screen up to when they're around 60 blocks away (or around 4 chunks). I believe this is too low for a server such as this one in which you get jumped by a lot of people constantly, because it leads to unfair-feeling ambushes and weird visual "bugs" such as the one I mentioned earlier. I understand that this may impact the performance of the server, but I do wish it was raised to atleast 8 chunks (128 blocks) if possible. Perhaps even 12, but I believe 8 is a nice sweet spot.
#Increase the player tracking of the server

By the way, this happens regardless of the simulation distance, entity culling settings, entity distance settings, etc, as it is a server-side issue.
GG @frail plover, you just advanced to level 1!
The server does have some weird culling but that's probably to prevent people from exploiting minimap to dig right to people
I don't mind it atleast
But it's abit annoying at times
ngl i do agree u can only see someone when it is way to late ðŸ˜
oh about this is also the antiesp which blocks render of far away entities and also entities behind walls and stuff to prevent hackers and cheaters from finding bases
it does cause this inconvenience but at the same time is also meant to protect the innocent players
however we also have /track which helps in this case because in things like exact track and even vicinity track you can /track players so you dont get jumped randomly
