window management (plugins just open whereever on the screen) you still can't open/close only selected pugins unless you click that little wrench and there is no official way of closing all plugin windows. You have to use a 3rd party script for that. Ableton can only hide plugins. Those could all be keyboard shortcuts that would transform the speed at which we work
I would love to be able to open multiple selected plugins with a shortcut (i know if you disable auto hide you can do that but i still want autohide)
Select plugins that are not next to each other (you can’t select plugins if they are not in series. Eg: I want to select plugins A and C. Not possible without also selecting B)

Plugins also open on top of each other, mask focus views and intercept keyboard shortcuts. If i want to search in the browser and a plugin window is open it will intercept ctrl+f and also visually block the browser instead of that it could move out of the way while i browse for example!

In my opinion the black box XY on the plugins is taking up lots of space when it could be used to show more valuable information or a way of opening/closing

You also can't keep only certain plugins floating (for example master track plugins) when you switch focus to another track. (its either everything stays open or it automatically hides plugins

No its AHK. An autohotkey script loosely based and much improved of Live enhancement suite (which has been discontinued)
I can close individual plugins, hide them one by one and bring them back in the same order, close all except focused, hide all except focused, it moves things out of the way when i press focus shortcuts (for example out of browser area if a plugin is there when i press alt+5)
i might make it available at some point

if you are looking just to close plugins there is a script called Plugin closer by slatin something like that

You can close plugins with alt+f4 on windows but there is no shortcut for opening them, only hide/unhide.
Annoying!
I've programmed my Reaper so I can use ctrl+1 to 6 to open insert slots plus hotkeys to open and close as well as hide and unhide all plugins of the selected track, I think that's the ideal solution for me. Would greatly appreciate if you would tag me when the autohotkey script you've been cooking up is freely available 🙏

100% good idea, how many times do we open and close those plugin windows each and every day.
