#Save/Reload Options; or, Undo All

What: More options for saving and reloading sets. Specifically, the ability to reload a set to its last saved state. Also the ability to disable the autosave feature and manually save.

Why: Sometimes I like to load up a set and do some destructive exploration without the intention to commit any of the changes I've made. Currently the only way to do this is to duplicate a set or clip and then delete it when I'm done, or else I have to press the Undo button repeatedly until all changes are reverted. Would be nice to have a simple "reload set" option in a menu somewhere so I don't have to abuse my Undo button or risk deleting the wrong set/clip.

Also the option to disable the autosave feature for people who prefer to manually save, which would help avoid accidentally overwriting your work.

Autosave as option please. I prefer to keep control over what I save and when.

Autosave is the fastest way to accidentally overwrite ideas and projects. Even Apple realized this a few years ago and removed this “convenience feature” from its own apps.

Thinking in terms of easy UI integration for manual save/reload: in set overview you could hold the Undo button and tap the pad for the set to reload the last saved state. For saving you could hold Shift and tap a pad and add a save feature in the menu that currently just has color and cloud settings. Since the Shift and Undo buttons are right next to each other it makes them logical candidates for quick access to save and reload.

Autosave as an option, and a "recall state function" like the Elektron boxes have would be GREAT 😃

Save/Reload Options; or, Undo All

#

I'm remembering reading somewhere, maybe the AMA, that the reason the Set changing isn't seamless is because depending on how much is going on in the set there are differing load times.

So it had me thinking about this feature request again and that maybe a simple Reload option wouldn't be the best for achieving that Elektron style recall ability.

Instead, perhaps an Undo All option could work as well.

I'd still want the ability to manually save and reload, but perhaps rather than fully reloading the set, which could cause audio dropouts or lag, there could be an option to Undo All Changes in a menu somewhere.

Anything to get around having to press Undo over and over again, because it's one of my few gripes with the machine so far and I'm honestly a bit worried about the longevity of that button.

I was really bummed out to see autosave was not defeatable, my adhd makes this really easy to backfire on me

I just received mine and the ability to save and go back to a chosen state of a set is one of the first features I'd like to see.

+1 for this, the constantly saved state means I am less likely to experiment once I have an initial idea for fear of messing things up. I want to feel save to explore and experiment and be able to quickly discard my changes if i prefer the original sound. It would also make live performance much easier since I can tweak things to no end during the performance but when I start my next gig will still be in the initial state and not the state that it was in at the end of the performance.

Option to disable autosave.
Quick shortcut to manually save or reload.
Shift+copy to save
Shift+delete to reload
perhaps.
