Windows or MacOS? I assume Windows.

Also, do you have the MIDI PC keyboard enabled with the little 🎹 icon in the upper right hand corner?

Try pressing alt then carry on like normal. I've noticed sometimes when loading up Ableton, it starts up in a state where it thinks the alt key is pressed. Idk why this happens, but pressing the alt key again gets out of that state, then hotkeys work as expected

I'm on windows, no clue if this happens on Mac. CZ, your clarification Qs are great. Total shot in the dark on the issue from me 🤣
