The Banshee SMG is pretty nice, it's very similar to the MCX. It's even got the same effective range, in fact. But it has a lot of modification varieties with it's attachments and you could even mod it to almost 90+ recoil and ergo. But overall, maybe it's good only for places like Armory's Bunker and TV Station with the range.

I can recommend the rip slugs. They're two shot to the limbs just like the Buckshot, but have a bit more range. Only issue is consistency. They are not the most accurate so it's a bit of a gamble.

With the odd increases of players wearing tier 4-5-6 or even bringing thermal to Normal Farm, you have these options:

1. You do the same as them, wear tier 4 and use tier 4 bullets so the both of you are on even fighting chance.
2. If you are outgeared by them then you either disengage, run away and hide to avoid being killed. Or if you want to kill them then put urself in an odd spot, an angle where they can't see you so you can shoot their legs or if u are lucky, their face if it is unarmored. Grenades help a lot as they can deter their advance or buy you time to escape (Smoke, GHO, Mk2 T13, Gas,etc)

ABMH to avoid getting killed by semi geared player in the farm normal mode i recommend using advanced level gear if you have sufficient funds to support it, using T4 or T5 armor and ammo will secure your player kills and greatly decrease the risk of dying to armor piercing rounds from enemies, and if your playing by yourself dont let yourself get stuck at one position to be surrounded remember to relocate to give yourself positional advantages, using stun grenades X5 decoy grenade or lethal tactical throwables can ward off enemies or redirect them in your favor, i dont recommend using T6 or T7 thermal imager in normal farm without teammates due to high risk of leg meta users and covert players in the mode the risk is too high for loss

ABMH avoiding getting stuck on throwable animations by using the quick throw button on the HUD, you can enable it in the settings and use it in raid with 1 button press to launch your throwable however your unable to cook the grenades using this method but it is great for getting them out fast

there is many various items that the unit price is incorrectly listed for and the gear items value actually change frequently so dont be surprised if one day the set will reach the minimum and another day it wont

unless your using good level armor or less modified weapon most people reach the minimum gear requirement in forbidden from using a heavily modified weapon

ABMH some guns that are good for using T4 ammo to eliminate T5 or T6 gear players the 9x39mm VSS with 850 RPM the very fast fire rate makes this gun great for killing players with higher level gear especially combined with the high penetration 7N9 ammunition, only downsides to this gun is the magazines are quite expensive and the gun is medium to high cost but the recoil is easy to control for basic builds at close range, the recoil is harder to control at medium range without some modifications. the 7.62x51mm FAL with 630 RPM is other decent weapon choice using the strong T4 M80 ammo it wont be as effective against T6 armor players but it will definitely have a good shot at eliminating T5 operators, the disadvantage to this weapon is the recoil is hard to control so it needs expensive recoil reducing modifications and the range is bad using the short barrel.

the faction weapon 9x19mm AUG9 with 770 RPM is another viable option, it features ultra high firepower and the second highest maximum accuracy of any SMG class weapon, you can use this weapon with T4 7N31 ammunition for armor piercing capabilities, the gun cost 2680 seasonal tokens available from the rodriguez contact if you have any factional currency available for use, otherwise you can use the 9x19mm MPX to purchase with koen, consider the AUG9 a budget version of the MPX. the 9x19mm MPX is also good choice with 850 RPM using the T4 7N31 ammunition but this gun can get pretty expensive with the highest end modifications, since the ultra high firepower is only available on the extended barrel that cost about 20k in the market, however the basic build of this gun is easy to control and doesnt need modifications, both weapons when equipped with ultra high firepower utilizing T4 7N31 ammunition can defeat T5 and T6 players well

ABMH some example kit i recommend for reaching the minimum value, use the commander A headset or GS2 with no helmet, use like new T5 or full durability T4 body armor and moderately modified weapon of choice with the T4 ammunition, you should be able to reach the minimum 80k gear value requirement every time with this, the reason for not bringing the helmet is because you can loot the T4 helmet from a bot so no need to buy one before the match, but the body armor is required since the bot can penetrate you and kill you instantly with unarmored body shot, also i highly recommend having the composite 2x3 or bulletproof 2x2 case before doing this farming method in the untimely event you died before extraction, so you can secure more of your loot compared to free reinforced case only giving 1x2 space but it does cost real money for to purchase

AR-15 & Scar-L are the slowest firing AR in the game, even the Sg550 has 525 RPM while they only have 500.
Both gun can be equipped with a Extended Barrel to upgrade their firepower to high to make them more viable.
I'd still recommend the Scar-L over Ar15, because the Scar-L is modifiable while the Ar-15 has limited modification capability. The Scar-L's stats is just better than Ar-15's even if both of them are fully decked out.

ABMH: Yes it definitely is. From the armor buff and weaker ammo. Type 8 and dumdum doesn't affected much from these drawbacks so you can mow enemies leg to your heart desires with trusty USAS. For armor I recommend at least T5 in forbidden zone because enemies may also upgrade their ammo to T5 as standards now in this season.

Ar-15 is a lack-luster weapon. The stock gun that you found has low firepower and it shoots as fast as the Scar-L, 500 RPM. But you can modify it to have high firepower by using the extended barrel. It serves the same purposes like the Scar-L, used for medium range engagements because the low fire rate itself is a big hinderance for CQC battles and it also uses 5.56x45mm so penetration and damage can be very questionable/unreliable sometimes. I wouldn't recommendusing it often unless you have a nicely built Ar15 or if you have nothing else to use.

ABMH: It's like M16 with full auto with better recoil control but put out burst mode and lower rate of fire. It's decent if you paired with good ammo but not as useful as the MDR, M4 or H4.

Thanks for the advice. It seems like a lot of enemies are using t5 ammo in forbidden though, and the light t5 armour is a bit pricey, at that point, would it be worth it to spend more on the gun and stims and just run t4 armour so I can rush?

That is a good idea if you aren't planning to be shot at first. You can automatically assume everyone in Forbidden will be using tier 5 and 6 (or 7 for 7N37s) bullets so armor isn't there to protection you much aside from stray bot shots. If you are confident with your PvP skills where you can swiftly dispatch an enemy before they can shoot you back then yes you can invest in your gun and ammo more than your armor though you ought not to skip on the GS2 Headset since being able to hear your enemies first is a valuable tactical advantage.

Apparently, 1 hit his arm instead and broke it while the other one failed to penetrate the armor. Despite 7.62x54mm 7BT1 is a tier 5 ammo and H-TacA9 is also tier 5 armor, it can still block a round or two before the durability is lowered to the point it can't block ammo anymore. Being out of the revolver's effective range is one factor to why the ammo didn't manage to penetrate. And also, the revolver has low firepower so unless it's headshot only then it won't do much.

ABMH some miscellaneous items cannot be exchanged, the exchange window shows you if the item you wanted to exchange can be used in crafting recipe to trade for valuable goods from the contacts, some item is not used for any crafting purpose and the only thing it used for is selling to the contact or putting on the market
