The factor that is causing it can be these:

1. lack of gun firing power
2. the target is so far that it exceeds gun effective range
3. the caliber is too small that mostly didn't have enough power to do pen in some cases

That's because no matter what tier the armor you use, the dmg from each bullet you get will always get reduced base on the armor durability and the tier of the armor

the closer the armor level against the ammo then the bigger the dmg absorption it will take.

I have ran no helmets sometimes and here's what I think.

If you we're shot in the head by a T4 ammunition with T4 helmet on, it would most likely penetrate.
It mostly only protects you from T3 ammunition below or ineffective t4 ammunition that was shot beyond effective range.

And another reason would be reducing the cost. They can simply reduce the chance of getting shot in the head by spamming leaning or lean around corners.

Let’s says it’s FZ, most of the enemies you’ll met were using t5 or t6s ammos, which mean that using t4 or lower helmet is useless, and t4 helmet costs about 15-20k which is not a small amount, so use a headset only is similar to use t5 or lower helmet because high tier ammo still penetrating them. I only use SH12 for its headset, and t4 helmets to match 80k requirements

To grind money, I would recommend doing port run, with bh rig, medium backpack from deke, cheap gun like s12k, a worn t3. Go to authority, kill and loot bots gears, could easily end up with 150k loot value, 300k if Derwin there, remember to extract before 20minutes because convert are starting to spawn

The best and most popular way would be naked running in normal maps, by far the most effective one.

Another way would be budget running in the lockdown, though it may cost you some koens per death. A gigachad kill will be very valuable

Another common way to earn money is sniping on any mode. You just bring t6+ ammo with a sniper, and you are good to go.

Yeah it is a smart idea, low tier ammo against bots, high tier ammo against players.
Make ur shots count against the player using ur 30rnd mag and you'll be fine. Though there's no downside of using M80 against players aswell if they're t4 & below

ABMH: T7 Thermal Imager allows the player to see player's in a white outglow while everything else is black, highlighting the player easier. You can spot them behind bushes and smoke grenades but not through solid objects or through a dense pack of gas grenades. It has an approximate viewing range of 150 meters and can be attached on these helmets:
Tier 3: 6B4 / 6B4 Squad, F70, 6B5 Helmet
Tier 4: F80, IND Tactical (Snow Included), KSS & KSS2, IND200 Helmet
Tier 5: 03.H & RSP Heavy Helmet
Tier 6: IND50H & SH65 Helmet
There's also 2 thermal scopes: NIT-A & Pz3 Thermal Scope which has reduced viewing range + alongside an extremely steep ergonomic penalty.
NIT-A Scope reduces 15 ergonomics and can only be used on these guns: AK102, AK74N, AN94, AEK, VSS, SVDS & S12K.
Pz3 Thermal Scope reduces 19 ergonomics and can be used on any gun whose picatinny rails allow its installment.
The NIT-A is locked at a 1.5x zoom range while the Pz-3 can zoom from 3.5x down to 1x.

ABMH: Since the T7 Thermal Imager that is attached to helmet is more versatile. You don't have any ergonomic penalty and still have thermal benefit if you look down any gun scope you have so you could be using a sniper with 20x and still have thermal view. And u still have thermal view at all time as long as the thermal is on ur helmet and is activated.
While NIT-A is limited to 7 guns, has a hefty ergonomic penalty, making you aiming down sight much slower and it has low zoom power,forcing you to CQC with it. And the thermal view only activates when u are aiming down sight.
The only downside of Thermal is that, you will be wearing a 1 million koen equipment on your head, to case ur thermal it takes 5s to be placed in your case while ur thermal scopes can be cased much quicker (if neither of them have operational supply marker).

ABMH: It is risky but you can try removing the operational supply marker by playing Normal Mode Tactical Ops.
Ur sole mission is to extract asap so pick a map that you're most comfortable with and do it.
Bring some friends in case if thing goes South, they can still save ur Thermal and try again to remove the operational marker.
I'd recommend Farm map, bring some taurines and nom noms + endurancr stim.
Use the stim and head to the extraction zone asap + use the energy drinks to replenish ur stamina to continue running.
Avoid any gunfights, just avoid them all though of course bring a gun in case of encountering player(s).

FMJ ammo isn’t a wall penetration perk, it’s bad ammo, use M855 instead, dont use A1

ABMH the ak102 is decent recoil weapon of the ak series, it sort of slow with 600 rpm and poor firepower, i find this gun still effective with the T4 M855A1 or T5 M995 ammunition with the slow fire rate, using premium ammo there is less need for extended magazine is costed about 15k so you will save some money in gunbuild for this choice, the recoil is stable at medium distance and does not required much modification

The AK102 is a ordinary AK but 5.56. It is usually a very ideal weapon for budget players, looking for a cost-effective weapon.
It has a slow RPM of 600 but has good base control.
Because of it's low RPM, it is not ideal for close combat situations and mainly for longer distances. It's recoil control also works well for longer distances

The more the protection it give the Higher the Structure strength like the DOD9 it give strong structure.

but the IND70 is an exception because that helmet basically protects all head parts but you can still use headsets so it has bad structure strength.

As for Armor the one the protects the arm and abdomen has Strong Structure Strength.

ABMH MDR is good weapon for its price, it use 5.56x45mm ammo with 700 RPM and high firepower, i recommend using MDR in close to medium range map such as farm, valley, port, armory, tv station, it can equipped the extended barrel which give increased accuracy and effective range, for the advanced difficulty mode you should use premium ammo like M855A1/AP, M995 to defeat the enemies

One of the main things would be behavior.
Bots typically walk around and have an idle stance, they also greet every player scavs or covert when they get close.
Bots can also run, in certain situations, jump.

Another would simply be what they are carrying.
Different bot types have a set loadout for that type of character, like the green guys in the farmland motel armed with mostly AKs and T79s.
Players scavs usually carry 2 weapons at the same time.

Another would be voicelines.
Bots have varying voicelines depending on their character, but for players. It's a different one.
Player scavs are locked with one singular voiceline. It doesn't matter the character they are playing, they will have the same voiceline all the time
