The FAL is bad because it can't hold a point like lighter ARs, making it disadvantage when you have a small and/or moving target. And people tend to, you know, take cover.

I've used the FAL before and it works absolutely great if someone were to run down a hallway completely exposed. But outside of that there's trouble if they're peeking behind some other spot, which no matter how skilled makes the FAL difficult to hit simply because by the 2nd shot you're already off target.

This is why I think the FAL is bad because of those qualities, not because "Skill issue," especially when I use lighter ARs in the exact same situation and win.
