Abmh: for long range fights i found one thing to be the most essential thing.

Be the one who shoots first, if you are really the one engaging over like 75-120 meters, the recognition of a body outline wins or looses games, if you can see them before they see you, you can really get them juicy first shots which can directly end a fight or make a big impact already.

For mid range fights:

Be aware of the recoil your gun has, i found that the an94 for me works wonders lately as it kicks not a ton and you can make the two rounds connect from the burst if the enemy is close enough, sometimes the second round even headshotting if the recoil kicks just right. In the core recoil control is there the most essential.

Then there are things like: grenade usage, cover usage, mindgames, pushing, defending and many countless more things that matter, but those are imo the things which make the most important difference.

Know your guns, learn to quickly recognize patterns and you make a lot more progress.

Run a an94 with two 60rnds that got t3 ammo in them, run that in farm normal till you get partly used to the map, after that you can step your game up to lockdown but for then replace the t3 ammo with t4.

Abmh: so this may seem kind of insane, but did you consider to run a mk14? The mk14 got 70rpm more / about 10% more rpm, its recoil is lower, it costs less, its range is probably similar to the fal, its accuracy is WAY HIGHER, the firepower is higher and the ergo probably too.

Run 30rnd mags with m80 or higher.

Genuine advice, switch to mk14s, not full kit mk14s, those are like 150k.

Switch to stock or slightly modded mk14s, they cost about 50-60k, 30 more if you want the red stock to use a frontgrip, they are better at ranged combat then the fal, the only region where the fal is better is in real cqc, there its ergo can outperform a mk14, but in longrange a mk14 is pretty much king while still being full auto.
